Dr. Frank Westby-Gibson

Meet the Founders

Dr. Frank Westby-Gibson is internationally recognized as a pioneer in the neuroscience of addiction and the first to develop a herbal phytopharmaceutical clinically shown to reduce alcohol cravings.

Seventeen years before the American Society for Addiction Medicine formally recognized alcohol use disorder as a brain-based disease, Frank was already leading the way in treating AUD not as a weakness, but as a correctable chemical imbalance.

For more than three decades, he has worked tirelessly to expand access to effective, science-driven solutions for those seeking a healthier life without unusual cravings for alcohol.  His clients describe him as encouraging, insightful, and unwavering in his commitment to their recovery.

Carol Westby-Gibson

Meet The Founders

For more than 30 years, Carol Westby-Gibson has dedicated her life to helping individuals and families overcome alcohol use disorder with compassion and grace.  She has personally guided more than 15,000 people towards restored health and self-respect.

As co-founder of two alcohol reduction companies, including The Last Call Program, Carol helped pioneer the world's first program to successfully treat alcohol use disorder as a neurobiological condition, not a moral failing.

She is also the co-founder of Precious Wood Farm, a 216-acre health and educational retreat nestled in the mountains of North Carolina, where she organized and led hundreds of recovery and wellness programs.  Carol's clients describe her as warm, intuitive, and deeply dedicated to each person's success.

The Empowered Path Program About Us

The Empowered Path Program began over 30 years ago as The Last Call Program, an exclusive, confidential service designed for business leaders, entertainers, and public figures whose struggle with alcohol could not be made public.  Priced at $7,500, it provided an anonymous and effective recovery without time away from work or being in the public eye.

In 2010, we recognized that the high cost and travel requirements associated with our clinic made it difficult for many individuals to access the help they needed.  In response, we introduced The Last Call Program Kit online, bringing our proven approach directly into people's homes.  This made the program more accessible and convenient while maintaining the same level of privacy and effectiveness.

Over the years, we discovered that our approach, grounded in the neurobiology of addiction, helped people achieve lasting change safely and privately.  Today, the Empowered Path Program stands alone as the only anonymous, at-home, non-medication program for Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) founded on the science of the brain and addiction. To make this program more accessible to everyone, we've reduced the cost without compromising quality, privacy, or results.

Living in beautiful Italy allows us to guide our clients with a fresh and inspiring perspective, enriched by the country's timeless sense of balance, beauty, and well-being.

Our mission is simple: to restore health, dignity, and hope to individuals and families affected by alcohol use disorder using a compassionate, science-based approach that truly works.
